From DG Marty Postic:

It's not too early to start planning for the District 5750 2008 District Conference.
The dates for the conference are:
Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th 2008.
The conference will be in Oklahoma City at the Cox Business Services Center.
Of particular importance will be an "All-Club" luncheon on Friday, April 18th in the Cox Center.

I ask you now to please cancel your club's meeting for that week and ask your members to join us in Oklahoma City for this event. In fact, I ask the club presidents to help your members attend by either crediting their regular meal cost to this event or providing them a stipend for attending. The cost will be announced once the event planning is complete. However, it is my goal to make this a very affordable event with a GREAT speaker. I want to see 500 of our district's Rotarians and guests present for this event.

Those of you who have attended a district conference know that Rotary outside of your club is so much fun! You will make friends that will last a lifetime! Aside from just attending the luncheon, I also ask you to consider staying for the rest of the event. We will make it fun and educational for all of you.

Finally, the district conference is one of the best ways I know to help a new member understand Rotary more fully. Therefore, I ask you to invite a new member to attend with you and, if possible, have your club help pay their way to this first conference. Oh, by the way, you WON'T want to miss the awards banquet at the conference! There will be drawings made for which you must be present to win. There will be club and district awards presented so that all of us can share in your successes. More details later. Please put these dates on your calendar and plan to attend. I NEED your support to
make this event a success! Thank you!
