GOVERNOR’S AWARD CRITERIA: 2007-2008
Since 1986-1987, District 5750 has offered an award program recognizing outstanding performance and service by clubs and Rotarians in District 5750. The awards are presented during the district conference banquet.
Your club’s President-Elect must attend the 2008 Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) for our District.
Your club must be represented at the 2008 District Assembly.
Your club must be represented at the District Membership Seminar
Your club must be represented at the District Foundation Seminar
Your club must make contributions to The Rotary Foundation equal to at least $10 per member.
Your club must be represented at the Bi-District Rotary Foundation Banquet.
Your club’s President and President-Elect must attend the 2008 District Conference.
Your club’s President must sponsor a new member in your club by March 31, 2008.
Your club must have a net membership gain of one member by March 31, 2008.
Your club must accumulate 20 points from any combination of the following items:
10 pts. Have a net membership gain of 10% or more since June 30, 2007.
10 pts. Have an increase in female membership of 20% since June 30, 2007.
8 pts. Have a net membership gain of 5% or more since June 30, 2007.
10 pts. Have paid in contributions to The Rotary Foundation Annual Programs Fund equal to $100 per member since July 1, 2007.
8 pts. Nominated someone for an Ambassadorial Scholarship. (Limit of 2 nominees)
- 8 pts. Nominated someone for the GSE team. (Limit of 2 nominees)
- 8 pts. Participate in an international service project or grant project, either through donation of money, supplies, or volunteers.
- 8 pts. Plan an international service project with your international sister club or it’s district to be conducted within the next twelve months.
- 1 pt. For each club member who attends The Bi-District Rotary Foundation Banquet (up to a total of 10 pts.)
10 pts. Sponsor a Community Service Day and have at least 25% of your club’s membership participate.
- 10 pts. Participate in a Service Project with your district brother club and have at least 10% of your club’s membership participate.
- 10 pts. Sponsor or co-sponsor a new Rotaract Club.
- 10 pts. Sponsor or co-sponsor a new Interact Club.
- 10 pts. Participate in a Service Project with a Rotaract or Interact Club and have at least 10% of your club’s membership participate.
- 8 pts. Nominate one or more participants to the Rotary Youth Leadership
Awards (RYLA) event.
- 8 pts. Sponsor or host a Youth Exchange student.
- 8 pts. Adopt a school and conduct a project in or with the school.
- 5 pts. Weekly, recite the 4-Way Test at club meetings
5 pts. Have your club give a subscription to The Rotarian to the local public or high school library (5 pts. for each subscription, up to a total of 10 pts.)
10 pts. For registering and paying for at least 10% of your club’s membership to attend the 2008 District Conference.
- 1 pt. For each club member who participates on a District-level committee.
Your club must submit a signed application for the Governor’s Citation by April 1, 2008.
