Martin “Marty” Postic, Jr. is an attorney in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Moore High School in Moore, Oklahoma, he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1977. In 1980, he received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and was thereafter admitted to the practice of law in this state. His law practice concentrates in the areas of estate planning and probate, probate avoidance, real estate, and asset protection. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is the 1997 Chairman of the Oklahoma Bar Association's Real Property Section. He is also a member and past president of the Oklahoma City Real Property Lawyers Association and is an Adjunct Professor of Estate Planning at Oklahoma City University.
Marty is a past president of the Rotary Club of South Oklahoma City and has served as the District 5750 Rotary Foundation Chairman, Rotary Foundation Permanent Fund Initiative Chairman, District Benefactor Chairman, District Trainer and an Assistant District Governor. Under Marty’s guidance, our district became the tenth district worldwide to achieve the goal of 75 Benefactors to The Rotary Foundation Permanent Fund. For his work, he was awarded the Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service in 1993. Marty was also instrumental in the creation of the Rotary District 5750 Foundation, the Foundation for Oklahoma Rotary, and was also one of the co-founders of his club’s Community Service Foundation, The Ray & Wanda Albright Community Service Foundation.
Marty is married to Julie Bates, who is also an attorney and his law partner. They celebrate their 25th anniversary this year! Their son John is an architecture major at the University of Oklahoma and their son David attends Westmoore High School. Marty enjoys playing reading, studying foreign languages, playing guitar and working with the Boy Scouts. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 20 in Oklahoma City and is a 2007 recipient of the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to youth from the National Council of the BoyScouts of America. Marty and his sons, John and David, are all Eagle Scouts.
Marty and Julie are Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation, and Marty, Julie, John and David are all Paul Harris Fellows, Foundation Benefactors, and members of The Rotary Foundation Bequest Society.
