To qualify for the Presidential Citation, a Rotary club must initiate a local or international service project that reduces child mortality, achieve the membership goal, and complete one activity from each of the five categories listed in the Presidential Citation Brochure. To certify the club’s achievement, this form must be signed and sent to the district governor. The district governor will qualify for the 2008-09 Presidential Citation if at least 50 percent of the clubs in the district qualify for a citation and the governor and at least 50 percent of the district’s club presidents have brought a new member into Rotary between 1 July 2008 and 31 March 2009. Eligible governors will receive a certificate of recognition from the president for this achievement. The governor’s list of certified clubs must arrive at RI by 15 April 2009.
